What is hep C?

Hep C is a curable virus that is passed blood to blood – even dry blood – and it can get into the body through breaks in your skin or inside of the nose and mouth.

It causes damage to the liver – this often happens slowly over time and may not show any symptoms.

There is no vaccine to help prevent hep C.
